This looks good. As usual I am sure it will not get a general release here. I saw it over on my girl Natural Newbie's site initially and thought I would share it with you all.
So I am at home enjoying my maternity leave and TV is very disappointing to say the least. When I was off having my first daughter 12 years ago-TV was fantastic- I didnt want to go back to work- I loved being off. Now its been found wanting.... so when I saw this advert I looked up from my book!! It looks like a typical British black film- containing every black actor who has been on the TV in the last five years. I immediately recognised Joyclyn Gee,Eddi Kadi Richard Blackwood for starters. I am not complaining, as I say the more we see them the better. I am going to go out and support this one (what do you say cuz? you know you are my late night cinema co-d!)
This is one of my favourite films of all time. I actually had a stomach ache and sore eyes after watching this for the first time. I cried and laughed for soooo long. Happy memories. I saw this wioth my cousin and my brother- Fantastic.
Easily one of the funniest clips of all time......
I know many of you will have seen this already- It was still a MUST post. This is why I loooooove Sesame Street. Its a tragedy its not on UK tv anymore.
In 1976, complex political and emotional forces are set in motion when a young man returns to the race-torn Philadelphia neighborhood where he came of age during the Black Power movement. (imbd)
Looks good 'dont it'?
I am particularly looking forward to the soundtrack by The Roots
I understand there has been some controversy over this movie. All the more reason In want to see it. Probably will have to wait on the dodgy chinese lady who walks up and down my road before I get to see it!! Oh the woes of living in the UK...
This suddenly sprang to mind (you need to get to 10.10 in the vid to see this bit.) I hope it brought back some happy memories! I have not seen this for years.
The point of this is to remind myself to get up, get out and do something. The sun is out (as much as it ever is in London) and I need to get out more. The kids are always harrassing me- which is good- and I do want to see them grow up!! so I am on a mission.
I got this at the beginning of the year. I am going to start living it.

As usual we probably wont get this over here in the UK, but this is my type of movie. Common is looking fiiiinne, and Latifah as always looks amazing. Looking forward to this.
We dont get general release for many black films over here in th UK.{deeep sigh}Truth be told some [not me of course!] often have to rely on the dodgy men in the car park offering me 'VVD VVD?' And even then you have to hope and pray that the copy is good and someone does not get up and walk past the screen just as you are getting into it!!
I would like to see this film as I loved pt1. It would be great to see it on the big screen. It has a general release on April 2nd 2010.
This film is released on 26th February over here. It looks like a good movie with a few laughs. I dont think I have ever seen a bad John Travolta film. I might try and tempt the girls out to see this one.
