Products:- To buy or not to buy, that is the question!

As you are all probably aware I spend a stupid amount of time on the laptop. As well as looking for natural products sold on line in the UK I have also tried a couple of hair recipes. Many people  swear by using only natural ingredients. Indeed there are several websites dedicated to looking after your hair with stuff from your kitchen cupboards.

I like to think of myself as a domestic Goddess, but I am also a mother of three, wife of one, full time employee, friend etc etc- all this means that I simply don't have the time to be constantly be mixing potions. besides all that I like to BUY!!(the PJism is getting to critical levels!) as stated many times before I lust for any products that folks in the US take for granted. I would sell a family member for any Oyin product-but I WILL NOT pay $60 shipping from the US- it hurts me to type that let alone actually pay!

So I was left with no alternative but to seek out English companies that cater for natural hair. Believe me it is unfortunate- but they are few and far between There are a couple who are English based but sell American products, that's good in a way a means I have been able to try Jessicurl Weekly deep treatment, what is particularly painful though is knowing some of the prices that the US ladies pay, I feel we are being ripped off over here.

My other alterntive was  British ladies who make their own products. The two that I am LOVE with are Anita grant and Curl Harmony.

My favourite  things about Anita Grant

Ironically I first heard of Anita grant on an US blog. I Like that she does a sample box £12.50. gives you enough product to really make a conscious decision as to whether or not that product is for you. She does samples of pretty much everything. If you have not tried her Rhassoul Deep Condish you HAVE  NOT lived. It looks like chocolate (that immediately got my attention) when I applied it- per instructions on website, I thought I was  in a spa. The quality is that good!. Great website very informative

My favourite things about Curl Harmony:

The owner Nadine adds her personal touch to everything. The Intensive Repair Deep Conditioner is AMAZING. Nothing else has made my hair feel so soft and has had such long lasting results. I also use Curl Harmony products on my daughters and both heads of hair are thriving. The hair milk has been a staple for me even with my hair in plaits. The website is very informatve even filtering products fo your hair 'type'. They always get back to you straight away with queries- website is always up to date with stock levels (hate to order stuff just to be told it is out of stock)

Reviews on Curl Harmony Products coming very soon as my hair is coming out of plaits next week, and I stocked up just before Christmas!

Both companies run by Black British ladies  (that is already inspiring for me) both have excellent customer service and produce amazing products. Now I am not going to lie to you people, if you have been going to the local high street and buying £3 or £4 products- you may need to sit down before you look at the prices! but it is soooooooo worth it I use a cheap conditiner to wash- the the quality conditioner wash once and leave in.- this make the product strecth a little more.

I am really glad that these two have such a great range and that I have such a great choice. I will be exploring more of their products. I feel good supporting my sisters, and knowing that their products are good for my hair.
